Willie Mullin is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Alcohol and Addiction Counsellors (IAAAC).

I have a diploma in Addiction Studies from the Addiction Training Institute (ATI) at All Hollows College Dublin. I later worked as an addiction counsellor at the Open Door Project Athlone before becoming project manager for two years before my retirement.

I have also completed ASIST training (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training): Family Support training, CBT and Relapse Prevention workshops’ and continue my professional development and supervision on an ongoing basis. I work within the IAAAC Code of Ethics.

In addition to the Open Door Project I have worked with groups and individuals and faciliated workshops on addiction awareness, relapse education & prevention, personal development and care plan management.

I have gained experience from working for 5 years with people in addictions. At present I work with individuals over the age of 18.
